Here is where I am going to stop on the kitchen rendering set that I have been working on as a personal project. There is more that I could do although I think it is time to move onto another project. This was created in 3dsmax, vray and adobe photoshop.

It has surely been too long since I posted in the blog. I have finally gotten the Office / Library scene to a point where I am going to call it "Finished For Now". This was done with 3dsmax, Vray and Adobe Photoshop. There are always things that you see after the fact, but alas, it is time to move onto a new personal project in my spare time.

I hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I did creating it. At some point I may create an article / tutorial regarding the process if I get enough requests.

I modeled a Battery Backup / UPS in 3dsmax as an addition to the Library / Office scene. It will also be sold on RenderHub, Turbosquid and 3D Export. I will also be modeling a router soon.

Here is a new update to the Library Scene that I have been working on. Still a ton to edit and add.

Populating the bookshelves is taking a while... A lot of new updates are on the way.

I saw a picture of a simple and beautiful kitchen design the other day, so I decided to create a simiar rendering set. This is a work in progress and has a ways to go, but it is coming along. I have 2 views so far, but I plan more..

gf

I plan on adding a bunch of detail, redoing the ovens, editing the fridge, finishing the door and a bunch of other various edits.

I have started a quick massing of a new personal work loosely based off a sketch that John Campell recently did. This current stage is in the fleshing out, or massing status for the prupose of planning.

I tossed in a rough model and lighting to mull over the ideas to come. There will be books... but will it be a mad scientists lab, an office, or something else? Stay tuned to see the results.

At this point I have roughly 35 minutes invested in the planning / massing inside 3dsmax.

Cheers!

I recently wrote an article / blog about selling 3D Models and 2D items.

It is featured on RenderHub. It discusses Tips and Tricks for making more residual income from selling online. You can view the article HERE on RenderHub.

The article discusses different facets of the process, from creation of the model / archive to ways listing a certain way may change your sales rate.

It also delves into coming trends and ways to get double use of the models.

The office is getting an upgrade. It has been quite a few years since a new computer entered the office, so I decided this is the time to do so.

The new 3D machine has Intel® Core™ i9-9920X Processor (12x 3.50GHz/19.25MB L3 Cache), 32 GB Ram and all SSD drives. This should aid in producing upcoming animations and render sets that I plan on shortly.

The video / graphics card is also VR (Virtual Reality) ready. It should be a nice addition and allow for very quick rendering and more projects. I can't wait to do a benchmark test on this one!

I made some edits to the ROV model and the scene lighting. I think this one looks a bit more realistic than the previous post from November 26th on facebook. 3dsmax modeled with Vray render.

The model / scene will be up for sale on Turbosquid today and other sites starting January 5th.
Cheers and happy Tuesday!

I have been spending quite a bit of time working on art with my son Sebastian. He is learning to paint with acrylics on canvas and prefers that I paint as he does. It has been a great way to spend time over the past couple days. I started this 2 days ago while we painted together.

carm1

The idea evolved into two alien cities split by a river and are not in agreeance. Both cities have citizens, but the cities themselves are also alive. Stay tuned for more...

This is painted on canvas using an odd selection of Acrylic Paint, Micron Marker and silly washable Crayola markers. This is a WORK IN PROGRESS...

Here is an additional Work In Progress shot that I have been slowing moving along on for the "City On The Water" project. I'm going back and forth between Max and Photoshop, refining different things little by little. I have started adding in glows for the lights, but I have a bunch more to do. Once I add in the light glows and refine the people it should look a bit more lively.

City On The Water NEW

I have also been working on an old project that is being revisited. It is a Landscape Architecture project that has an awesome pool, hot tub, grill and lounge area. I will post the renderings once the client is happy with it and it is approved.

In the near future I plan to start an aerial render of a Smart City and also an Interior Design render set.
I am also still studying Substance Painter and actively seeking contract work.

I started working on new variations and views of "City On The Water", a rendering that I began a couple months ago.

I am going to work on several views in the scene. This is a progressive project that will have many updates as time goes on. I will get a new update for you all soon on this and add it to the post.

It processed out at low resolution today. I'm decently happy with the raw version.

Cheers!

I am leaving "Squidguild" on December 1st at Turbosquid to begin selling my 3D Models on several sites. I have begun listing my models for sale on RenderHub and 3DExport. Click the links in the paragraph to view my stores.

I just got to thinking one day, that with over 550 products, possibly if I spread them to all of the available sites to sell on, quite possibly some of the model genre's may sell better on other sites, thus making up the %20 that I will be missing from "Squid Guild" and hopefully plus some.

With a plus note, in my life time with 3D Model sales I just passed $95,000 in my residual sales since I started selling in 2006. If you have 3D Models... Put Them Up!

Currently I am also writing an article for RenderHub that discusses Tips and Tricks of Selling 3D Models. I will update that here once it is complete and online

Cheers!
